Carol Refflinghaus – Owner & Founder
Owner and founder Carol Refflinghaus has been living in Simcoe County for 15 years having moved here with her family from London, ON where she managed services in the health care and education industry.
After moving, Carol established a career in retail management where she was able to continue doing what she loves, which is helping people. During this time however Carol always thought back to a time when she worked with a company providing one on one home help to seniors and persons in need. This had been and remains her most rewarding role.
In 2012 after seeing a gap in the service market, Carol realized her dream. She combined her skills and experience with her desire to improve the lives of seniors, and founded On My List SENIOR ASSIST.
She has completed numerous courses specific to the care of seniors including the Dementia Care certificate program, Ambiguous Loss, and Navigating the Dementia Care System, which were provided through the Alzheimer Society.
Linda Guindon – Peterborough Area Service Consultant
Linda and her family are from the Peterborough area, currently living in Cavan, and enjoy being part of a close-knit community.
At a young age, after her brother sustained a brain injury, Linda decided to dedicate her life to assisting individuals with special needs. For the past 30 years, she has worked in a rehabilitation setting for people who have acquired injuries in motor vehicle accidents. As part of that career path, Linda has participated in numerous professional development opportunities to further her knowledge in the field including being one of a handful of people in Canada that has a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer designation.
In addition to her work in rehabilitation, Linda also supported adults with developmental delays in a residential setting. This work has helped to enhance her skills and knowledge to include the needs of those who require lifelong assisted living support.
Through her work, Linda noticed a gap in support services for seniors in the Peterborough area. Concerned for the aging population in her community, she decided to change her focus. Linda joined forces with her friend Carol Refflinghaus, founder of On My List Senior Assist (serving Simcoe/Georgian Triangle), to offer the same quality home-care services in the Kawarthas.
Linda has a great deal of experience working with people of all ages and abilities and is familiar with the functions of the aging brain.
